As BBQ goes this is the Best BBQ that I have had the pleasure of eating at in this state, Others Are good, but this place here is the best for me. It doesn't matter, Pork, Beef, Chicken it is all A-1, and their sauce that you can but is just awesome.

Smoke Shack- always a good, solid barbeque option. I typically order my usual barbeque pork sandwich with potato salad and baked beans. The barbeque always tastes good. There isn't a huge selection of sauces, but what they have is good. The potato salad is a traditional mustard based mixture. Overall, the restaurant is pretty traditional- nothing fancy, but never disappoints. Friendly staff, too.

I've eaten at the Smoke Shack off and on for a number of years and it pretty good overall. Today's visit included chopped beef, sausage, ribs, fries and corn. While I was a little disappointed there was no sliced beef available, the chopped was pretty good. Looked like it was quality with good flavor. The sausage was very tasty with good flavor but was on the greasy side. I'm not complaining, I liked them just a little on the greasy side. The sauce the was on both was pretty good. This came with two sides. The French fries were fresh made and were home style and fairly crisp. The corn was a half ear cob. It was a half ear of corn, good. A bun came on the side. The half rack of ribs were both meaty and high quality. The dry rub was pretty good too. They had a slight harsh taste to them and a level of smokiness that on occasion tasted more fireplace than smoker. I figure they were over smoked. Let me say (as a lot of you already know) that I know ribs at lunch can often be a bit of a gamble, they more common at dinner, so I might not have had these when they were at their best. Would I try them again? Yes, because I would want to give them a fair shake. The waitress came around a couple times offering drink refills and was quite nice. BBQ often is a more personal thing than a lot of food so it's all what you like. This was maybe not the best in the world but by no means the worst. I will say while I was there I noticed another customer walking to his table carrying two small cups of BBQ sauce. He was starring at those little cups with a look of glee that would rival any five year old with an ice cream cone. If it could have that effect on some grown man, I'd say give it a try and see for yourself.

Yea for good BBQ!!! The Smoke Shack definitely filled me to the gills with some awesome pork ribs, cole slaw and baked beans! I got the hot, spicy sauce to pour over the ribs and could have just ate that! A plate like this with the bread buns set me back a little over $8!!! That's about what they pay for a gallon of gas some places in Europe! Loved the vintage photos of Little Rock circa 1900 and the general decor. Staff was wonderful though I see they are looking for help. Don't trip over y'alls feet getting down there!!!

This the the BEST barbeque you can get anywhere around these parts, and even though some folks like to nit-pick stuff like sauce selection, the meat is what matters, and this place has meat! If you're into some good filling food like I am grab the combo with the jumbo sausage with potato salad and baked beans and I can just about guarantee you won't walk away hungry. Aside from the great food you really can't beat the great staff and the comfortable atmosphere! The food is delicious, the staff provides the best friendliest service you'll find anywhere and from the moment you step inside you feel like your home. Get some Smoke Shack!

I'm very particular about my BBQ, and the Smoke Shack just doesn't do it for me. The prices are very reasonable, but that is about the only positive about the place in my book. The smoked sausage is not too bad (but quite greasy), but the other meats are just average (at best) for a southern BBQ joint. Furthermore, the sides are nothing special and the sauce selections are very limited. I've eaten here about a half dozen times over the past couple of years, and have pretty much given up on the place - there are better BBQ places in metro Little Rock.

Yum! I had the pulled pork with slaw, baked beans and potato salad. The sides were fabulous and the pulled pork was smoky and juicy. The sauces were perfect. Will definitely make this a regular stop when I'm in Maumelle.
